Asus ROG Phone 8: The latest gaming smartphones from Asus, the ROG Phone 8 Pro and ROG Phone 8, were introduced at CES 2024. With an IP68 grade for splash and dust protection, Qualcomm's most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset powers the Taiwanese smartphone brand's new ROG series. Asus ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro specs

The new ROG Phone 8 series, which has a streamlined design and a 15% thinner profile than the previous generation, is said by Asus to focus on outstanding utility beyond gaming. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, the devices continue working at an extremely high level. Additionally, the ROG Phone 8 Series features an AeroActive Cooler X and Rapid-Cooling Conductor design to guarantee effective heat dissipation during extended gaming sessions. With a new ROG UI, the ROG Phone 8 phones run Android 14.

The new ROG Phone 8 Pro series has an impressive 6.78 flexible AMOLED display with variable refresh rates and a maximum brightness of 2500 nits. In order to provide outstanding colour accuracy for an unparalleled visual experience during immersive gameplay, Asus has also partnered with Pixelworks.

An innovative tri-camera system including a 50 MP Sony image sensor, 3X telephoto lens, 13 MP ultrawide camera, and 32 MP front selfie camera with an expanded field of view has been fitted by Asus specifically for the new ROG Phone 8 series. Additional features of the camera system for improved photography and videography include a 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabiliser 3.0 and OZO Audio technology.

Due to its 5,500 mAh battery, which supports both wireless 15 W Qi-certified charging and C-Type wired 65 W HyperCharge, the ROG Phone 8 series is incredibly powerful.

Price and availability

The 16GB + 256GB model of the ROG Phone 8 costs USD 1099.99 (approximately Rs. 91,380). The 16GB + 512GB model of the Phone 8 Pro costs $1199.99 (approximately Rs. 99,685). The 24GB + 1TB model of the ROG Phone Pro edition costs $1499.99 (approximately Rs. 1,24,610). It costs $99.99 to purchase the AeroActive Cooler X.

Rebel Grey and Phantom Black are the available colours for the ROG Phone 8, while Phantom Black is the only colour available for the ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition & Pro.
