Google Pixel Watch 2 expected to launch with Pixel 8 series, likely to sport a much more powerful chipset, all we know

Google Pixel Watch 2: Long-running rumours suggest that Google is creating a new iteration of the Pixel Watch, and it now seems likely that the watch will be introduced soon. Along with its anticipated Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones later this year, the tech giant plans to introduce its new Pixel Watch 2. More rumours have emerged in the more than three years since Pixel Watch development started. Google hinted about the Pixel Watch at I/O 2022, and at the May 10 I/O 2023 event, the firm may show some previews of the Watch 2.

Google Pixel Watch 2 expected specifications

The Pixel Watch 2 is anticipated to have a new chip that will outperform its predecessor’s Exynos 9110 chip in performance and battery life. The Pixel Watch 2 may benefit from Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, which is based on 4nm architecture, but given Google’s dependence on Exynos chips, we believe the Pixel Watch 2 will also use an Exynos chipset.

Features and Design

The Pixel Watch 2 is anticipated to include software enhancements in addition to hardware upgrades, such as Google’s new Material You design language that offers customisable interfaces. Versions of Wear OS with new fitness tracking capabilities like nighttime skin temperature and oxygen saturation statistics are also anticipated. There may be some changes to the original Pixel Watch’s features.
