iPhone: The Tata Group, an enormous Indian conglomerate, is planning to acquire an iPhone factory in the state of Karnataka. In the near future, the Tata Group will distribute the iPhone in India, as the company is currently in talks with Apple.
The major benefit is that the iPhone's price will be drastically reduced. Tata has announced that it will match the price of Android if production begins in India.
There have been rumors that Tata Karnataka is considering purchasing the iPhone factory. Currently, the company is working on a deal with Apple that will cost about Rs 5000 crore. This is not something small, and many businesses may be willing to put money into it.
There are rumors that the Wistron plant in Karnataka is where the iPhone SE, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13 are made. The manufacturing could begin soon at Tata if everything goes as planned.
Tata could also be the first Indian company to make iPhones, which are currently made in China and India by Taiwanese companies like Wistron and Foxconn Technology Group.
This also happens at a time when Apple wants to move its manufacturing out of China, which is facing Covid lockdowns and political tensions with the US.

The report claims that if Tata is able to negotiate with Apple, three distinct iPhone models will be produced. The range for its price is 30,000 to 50,000 rupees. However, it is unclear whether or not the price cut will apply to these models. If this agreement pans out, it's expected that iPhone customers will be able to purchase more expensive models at a reduced price, allowing the product to more widely penetrate the Indian market.
