iPhone: The introduction of the original iPhone in 2007 signalled the beginning of an era for smartphones with full screens and digital keyboards. However, some people still long for the big physical keyboards that formerly defined the success of smartphones from companies like BlackBerry. Before CES 2024, a new device that revives the glory days of tactile texting will be available. Read on for details.
Click's iPhone case
A keyboard case called Clicks, which was developed by well-known YouTuber Michael Fisher and tech blog founder "CrackBerry Kevin," fits over iPhones to provide an actual QWERTY keyboard.
With the $139 Clicks case, the bottom of the iPhone is extended by a few inches and it connects to the smartphone via the charging connection. Without taking off the case, you can still charge thanks to an additional port on the bottom. The case offers a nod to vintage BlackBerry phones and is available in two colours: bright yellow "Bumblebee" and grey "London Sky."
Shortcuts for the home screen, such as CMD+H and CMD+Space, are likewise available on the physical keyboard. These additional keyboard functionalities will be handled by an upcoming Clicks app.
Price and availability
The keyboard cover by Clicks will make its premiere at CES the following week, but you can preorder it on their website for $139 (Rs 11,558) right now. It is anticipated that units would ship by February 1.
