At WWDC 2026, Apple unveiled one of its most ambitious software updates ever, envisioning a future where all of its devices work together more seamlessly than ever before.
The company announced updates to its operating systems focused on continuity, intelligence and personalization. The vision is an experience that flows with users from screen to screen, whether it’s an iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch or mixed-reality device.

Siri Gets Its Largest Intelligence Upgrade Yet
One of the biggest highlights of the event was the evolution of Siri. Apple announced an even more contextual and capable version of its voice assistant, powered by the very latest in Apple Intelligence.
The new Siri is built to better understand natural language, keep context through conversations, and handle more complex tasks involving multiple apps and devices. This will enable users to make multiple-step requests without repeating themselves, resulting in a more natural and fluid interaction.
Apple Intelligence Now Available on Devices
The company’s AI framework, Apple Intelligence, is being integrated more deeply into the ecosystem. New features include smarter writing assistance, enhanced summarization tools, intelligent notification management and improved productivity capabilities.
The company showed how AI-powered tools can help people write messages, sift through information, get things done and converse with content across different apps. Rather than a standalone chatbot, Apple Intelligence is being integrated directly into the experience.
One Experience Across All Screens
Continuity was one of the themes of the keynote. Apple announced features that are supposed to make the transition between devices almost seamless.
Users will face less friction between devices, such as starting a task on an iPhone, continuing it on an iPad, and finishing it on a Mac. Better syncing, smarter app handoffs, and unified workflows should strengthen Apple’s ecosystem advantage.
