Smartphone: Nowadays, every person carries a camera attached to their phone. Though they may not be as good as DSLRs for high-quality shots, smartphone cameras are still improving and are sometimes the only cameras used by users. In this article, we will share 5 tips that can help you take your smartphone photos to the next level.

Top 5 Tips to take photos like a pro with your smartphone

Clean the Lens

Our preferred device these days is a smartphone, right? Without realising it, we not only carry our smartphones in our pockets or bags but also carelessly set them on the floor, coffee table, or any other surface. This causes dust and grime to contaminate the lenses. Photographing with a dirty lens that has grit, grime, and fingerprints on it will obviously contaminate the image and cause it to appear blurry. Make sure that prior to taking a picture, the lenses are always cleaned—ideally with a microfiber cloth or another soft substance.

Capture Multiple Shots

The fact that you can snap as many pictures with your smartphone as you like and don't have to print them out to see the results is one of its best features. This greatly simplifies the process of learning from and improving your outcomes. When taking pictures with your smartphone, burst images come in handy because they let you take several pictures while your subject moves. You can then choose the best pictures after you've taken a series of quick snaps.

Use HDR

High Dynamic Range, or HDR mode, is a feature that more and more smartphones have. In order to give a more evenly distributed exposure, it adds detail from the light and dark parts. Put otherwise, it will prevent excessive brightness in the sky or darkness on the ground, making it ideal for landscape photography. Utilising the HDR feature on your phone's camera is a smart choice if there is a significant contrast between the brightest and darkest areas of your picture.

Avoid Digital Zoom

Because it lowers the image resolution, digital zoom almost invariably produces poor results. One basic photography tip to improve your images is to avoid it. On smartphones, optical zooms are becoming increasingly popular and are fine since they don't degrade the clarity of the image. Simply go closer to maintain the quality of the image if all you have is a digital zoom.

Use natural light whenever available

Because of their tiny sensors, only a few smartphones are able to take decent indoor photos. For optimal results, it is therefore ideal to shoot pictures outside under the right lighting. In addition to determining brightness and darkness, lighting also affects the photo's tone, mood, and atmosphere. Thus, when using a smartphone to take pictures, attempt to use natural light.
