Corolla Cross Facelift: The much anticipated 2024 Corolla Cross makeover was announced by Toyota, the well-liked small crossover. This is more than three years after its first worldwide release in Thailand. With a number of improvements, including redesigned interior features, increased ergonomics, and exterior design modifications, the most recent model is a compelling choice for buyers in the compact SUV market.
Corolla Cross Facelift design details
The revised grille, which has a body-coloured finish and a honeycomb pattern, is the centrepiece of the external upgrades. The car also includes a new set of sequential turn signal LED Crystalized headlights, which are already available in other countries. Similar to other models’ full-width LED designs, these are joined to the Toyota insignia through a trim piece.
Except for the sporty body kit of the GR Sport trim, which is unchanged, the remaining bodywork is carried over from the pre-facelifted version.
Powertrain details
The redesigned model, like its predecessor, comes with a 1.8-litre petrol engine with natural aspiration or a 1.8-litre hybrid powertrain with self-charging capability. With a torque of 172 Nm (127 lb-ft) and 138 horsepower (103 kW / 140 PS), the non-electrified variant powers the front wheels via the Super CVT-i gearbox. The more efficient hybrid drives the front wheels using an E-CVT gearbox to produce 121 horsepower from the combination of a 1.8-litre engine and an electric motor.
Features onboard
Inside, the Toyota Corolla Cross Facelift is equipped with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster starting with the HEV Premium Luxury trim level and an automatic parking brake with auto-hold capability. Standard features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The facelift also includes LED interior lighting. Options for interior colour include Dark Rose or Black.
Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are included as standard safety features with the Toyota Corolla Cross facelift. The Toyota Safety Sense ADAS package is available starting with HEV Premium Luxury. Additional safety features include but are not limited to, TPMS, ABS, EBD, Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, and seven airbags.
