Janhvi Kapoor And Varun Dhawan starrer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is creating a lot of buzz ahead of its Dussehra release on October 2. The film has now grabbed more attention because Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav lends his voice to upcoming “Panwadi.” When the makers announced this on social media, fans were excited. Now, Varun Dhawan also shared his admiration in an Instagram post.

Varun shared a video of Khesari Lal Yadav performing and wrote, “Khesari Lal Yadav ji, kya gaya hai aapne sir ji, milte hain bahut jaldi.” In the clip, Khesari hums the “Panwadi” song with expressive gestures.
Khesari Lal Yadav also sent a special message and said, “Tum sabhi ka Khesari Lal Yadav ka pyaar aur bahut pyaara song. Ek bahut hi pyaari cinema bani hai Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Dharma Productions se bani hai aur aap sabhi ko cinema hall mein dekhne ko milega. Ismein bhai ki awaaz mein ek bahut pyaara song hai. Aap sabhi ko bahut pyaar aur meri taraf se Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari ki film se jude sabhi crew members ko shubhkaamnayein. Namaste pranam.” The makers said the “Panwadi” song will release on September 10, calling it a “guarantee banger.”

The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan and is the third part of the Dulhania franchise, after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), both starring Varun Dhawan. The ensemble cast includes Varun, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi. This is the second film where Varun and Janhvi star together after Bawaal in 2023.
Set in Delhi, the story follows Sunny Sanskari, played by Varun, a mischievous man who falls for Tulsi Kumari, played by Janhvi. The plot involves a love quadrangle, mistaken identities, and family chaos, blending romance and comedy. Audiences are curious to see who will find their happy ending.
The film was shot in Jaipur and Jodhpur, which add a vibrant look to the story. Its soundtrack includes a recreated version of Sonu Nigam’s 1999 hit Bijuria, released on September 3, 2025. The film’s release, originally scheduled for April 18, 2025, was postponed to October 2 for extra shooting and creative tweaks.
The teaser (released on August 29, 2025) got mixed reactions. While many praised the visuals and music, some were disappointed with Varun and Janhvi’s chemistry. They felt that Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf should have had bigger roles.
