VIRAL VIDEO: In a viral video, a young boy from Nepal is seen asking an Indian man to pull out the Indian flag, leading to backlash from social media.
In the video, the boy can be seen asking the man from India to remove the Indian flag as he is now in Nepal. The man then gets into a discussion with the boy before a woman arrives on the scene and recognizes the travel vlogger.

India and Nepal History
Nepal and India share a 1751 km long border across 5 states (Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Sikim, Uttarakhand and West Bengal). For centuries, the two countries have shared close cultural and historical relations.
The ancient Indian epic, Ramayana, highlights that Lord Rama of Ayodhya was married to Goddess Sita of Janakpur. Also, Kirats played an important part in the army of Pandavas during the gruelling battle of Kurukshetra in Mahabharata.

India is the largest development partner of Nepal. The country has always assisted Nepal in times of socio-economic challenges. Both countries recently signed many deals to start railway and road links along with several integrated check posts.
Indo-Nepal Misunderstanding: What has sparked tensions between India & Nepal?
In recent times, there has been some bad blood between the two countries. Many in Nepal believe that India has directly interfered in the internal affairs of Nepal from time to time.
The long-rooted linguistic, marital, religious and cultural ties between India and Nepal have taken a backseat because of some political issues and border disputes.
Going through various ups and downs, the two countries are still going strong and share a mutually-beneficial and special relationship compared to other countries.
