Delhi Metro Viral Video: Public display of affection (PDA) involving young couples has become a recurring concern in metro premises across the country. After the recent buzz around the Bengaluru Metro incident, now a Delhi Metro viral video featuring a couple’s illicit behavior has resurfaced, once again triggering a heated debate on public decency in shared spaces.
This video, originally filmed over a year ago, has made a comeback on social media, drawing sharp reactions from viewers who are questioning the rising trend of PDA among the youth in public transport.
The Delhi Metro viral video was re-uploaded on April 13 by an X (formerly Twitter) user named 'Mr Tyagi.' Though many online users believed it to be a recent clip, fact-check reveals that the video is over a year old and has merely been reshared to stir conversations around the behaviour of young couples in public places.

In the video, a young couple is seen lying on the floor of a crowded Delhi Metro coach. The girl rests her head on the boy’s lap in a visibly intimate and inappropriate position. The setting becomes more disturbing considering the presence of fellow passengers who witnessed the couple’s PDA but chose not to intervene.
The incident reportedly took place near Jhandewalan Metro Station, as confirmed by announcements heard in the background of the video. It was recorded discreetly by a fellow commuter and later uploaded, adding fuel to the conversation on social media about illicit behavior in public transport.
The Delhi Metro viral video sparked a range of reactions online. From criticism to sarcasm, users had a lot to say about the youth's PDA in a public setting. One X user wrote, “ye yaha chal kiya raha hai.” Another commented, “It’s normal nowadays in Delhi, people are advanced and matured. This is high-class society and teenagers are even more matured.”
Adding a humorous spin, a third user wrote, “Hospital leke ja rha hai, ladki behosh ho gayi hogi.” Meanwhile, another user shared disappointment, stating, “Shameful... it's a public place and they should follow basic societal values!”
The resurfacing of this video has reignited questions about social conduct, privacy boundaries, and the rising trend of PDA among youth in metro cities, especially in the Delhi Metro system.
