After Daaku Maharaaj, Nandamuri Balakrishna returns in full power, bringing intense action and divine rage to the screen. The teaser for Akhanda 2: Thandavam just dropped, showing the star in full-blown god mode, blending spiritual intensity with mass action. The teaser was loaded with energy and visuals. It landed as a surprise yesterday ahead of Balayya’s 65th birthday, instantly lighting up social media.
Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, who helmed the 2021 hit Akhanda, the sequel promises to turn the volume up on everything from devotion to action and drama. The short teaser has already grabbed eyeballs for its powerful tone and punchy presentation.
Balakrishna Goes Full Beast Mode In Akhanda 2 Teaser
The teaser kicks off at the Maha Kumbh Mela with holy chants and heavy visuals. Moments later, Balakrishna enters in full spiritual fury, covered in ash and anger. Boyapati isn’t slowing down—this is mass cinema at full power.
The visuals are big, fiery, and loud. Balakrishna’s screen presence is dialled up, and Thaman’s background score adds an extra punch. “Herogiri” is on full display here. The only off-note is his under-eye makeup in the first shot. But beyond that, it’s a clean sweep.
Thaman’s music is one of the highlights. The sound is sharp, dramatic, and layered with intensity. It lifts the teaser’s momentum and gives it the kind of mass appeal fans love.

Akhanda 2 Vs OG To Bring A Big Festive Face-off In Telugu Cinema
Set for release on September 25, Akhanda 2 is heading straight into a clash with Pawan Kalyan’s OG. That means two massive fanbases, two high-voltage films, and one crowded box office. The stakes are high, and the timing couldn’t be juicier.
With Akhanda surprisingly clicking in the Hindi belt too, the makers are planning a more focused promotional push in North India this time. The film is produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner. Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini is presenting the film.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna had last made headlines for a different reason. His behaviour with actress Urvashi Rautela during the theatrical run of Daaku Maharaj created a lot of controversy. Additionally, the choreography in the song “Dabidi Dibidi” was slammed for being crass, and his actions didn’t sit well with many online.
