Reports that Shah Rukh Khan was injured on the set of King and had halted shooting to fly to the United States for treatment are now being called false. A new update says the superstar is fine and that the noise around a “set injury” is overblown. Fans can breathe easier.
A source close to the actor told NDTV, “The rumours of Shah Rukh suffering a back injury on the sets of King are completely untrue.” The insider added that SRK does deal with old injuries flaring up from time to time, and he travels to the US for routine check‑ups when needed. They said that this current trip is nothing but ordinary.
Another source shared, “It’s not a serious injury, but more of a muscular strain.Over the years, Shah Rukh has picked up multiple injuries from stunt work, and this seems to be a result of accumulated stress.”
Shah Rukh Khan Injury Update: Sources Say No Serious Set Accident
Initial chatter suggested filming on King had paused after Shah Rukh got hurt. Fresh word now says that is not the case. The actor’s health check aligns with his usual care routine, especially given the legacy of stunts and past knocks he has carried through decades of work.
Industry insiders note that long‑running performers often build up muscular stress that needs periodic treatment. That appears to be what is happening here. The injury rumours grew because of his overseas trip during an action film shoot, but sources say everything is under control and there is no need to worry.
Amid the rumours, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee posted a get‑well message last night. She wrote, “Reports regarding my brother Shah Rukh Khan sustaining muscular injuries during shooting make me worried. Wish him a speedy recovery.”
Many mocked the concern and dragged politics into the replies, accusing her of selective empathy aimed at winning favour with Shah Rukh’s fan base.
