Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated film Hari Hara Veera Mallu has seen a drastic dip in box office performance on its second day, raising concerns about its long-term success. Despite a strong opening, the Telugu-language period action-adventure has struggled to maintain momentum, weighed down by mixed reviews and social media backlash.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and AM Jyothi Krishna, the film opened with an impressive Rs 34.75 crore on Day 1. This marked one of the biggest openings of Pawan Kalyan\’s career. However, Day 2 witnessed a sharp fall in numbers.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu Box Office Collection Day 2
According to Sacnilk, the film collected just Rs 8 crore on Saturday (Day 2), bringing the total to Rs 55.50 crore in two days.
This steep decline of over 75% has been attributed to the film’s weak reception and growing discontent among viewers. Despite its epic setup and ambitious scale, Hari Hara Veera Mallu fails to deliver the emotional depth and narrative impact expected from such a historical tale.
Set against the backdrop of Mughal India, the story follows Veera Mallu, an outlaw who sets his sights on the Koh-i-Noor and eventually comes face-to-face with Emperor Aurangzeb. While the premise holds promise, the execution lacked finesse. Comparisons are being made to Chhaava, where Vicky Kaushal’s portrayal of rebellion against tyranny felt far more grounded and emotionally compelling.
Bobby Deol and Nidhhi Agerwal play key roles in the film, but even their presence hasn’t managed to uplift the overall experience. The film’s overall occupancy rate in Telugu-speaking regions on Day 2 stood at 21.71%, with a particularly low turnout during morning and afternoon shows.

Will HHVM Bounce Back Or Join The List Of Epic Flops Like Indian 2, Game Changer?
Adding to the film’s box office struggles, Hari Hara Veera Mallu also faced boycott calls on social media. At a recent success event in Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan addressed the issue. He told his fans not to get upset by online criticism.
The film’s prolonged production (which lasted over five years) also created high expectations among fans. But with underwhelming reviews and fading audience interest, the film now risks meeting the same fate as other recent high-profile disappointments like Indian 2, Game Changer, and Kannappa.
As the weekend unfolds, the box office numbers over the next few days will be crucial. Whether Hari Hara Veera Mallu can bounce back or follow the path of other big-budget flops remains to be seen.
