The loss of Kaanta Laga star Shefali Jariwala has left a deep void in the hearts of her fans and loved ones. The 42-year-old actress reportedly died of cardiac arrest at her Mumbai home on June 27. As tributes poured in, a controversial news report sparked backlash and strong reactions from those close to her.

Actor Paras Chhabra, who shared a close bond with Shefali since their Bigg Boss 13 days, attended her funeral in Mumbai. When the media tried to get his reaction, things got tense after a reporter brought up a viral story about Parag Tyagi walking their pet dog Simba shortly after Shefali’s death.

Angered by the report, Paras called it out publicly. He said, “Yeh subhe waali news bohot hi bekar news hai. Yeh jo kutto-wali news hai, ki kutte ko leke ghuma raha hain subha subha. Kya kare phir banda? Bohot hi bekar news karte ho aap log. Aur bolna kya hai?” 

When a journalist responded with, “Kaam kar rahe hain,” Paras shot back, “Haan, negative news laa rahe hai aap log.”

His comments quickly gained attention online, with many supporting his stand against insensitive coverage during such a tragic time.

Rashami Desai Supports Parag Tyagi, Urges Compassion

Actress Rashami Desai, another close friend of Shefali from Bigg Boss 13, also defended Parag Tyagi. She reposted the viral video of Parag walking Simba and wrote a powerful note on Instagram.

She said, "Arreee bhaiya, let's spread kindness and compassion instead of judgment! Simba was more than just a pet - he was Shefali's beloved son. Her sudden passing leaves a huge void, and I urge the media to respect the family's grief and give them space during this difficult time. Let's show empathy and understanding, not sensationalism."

For the unversed, Shefali Jariwala was cremated on Saturday at Oshiwara Crematorium in Mumbai. While her postmortem report has arrived, the exact cause of death remains unclear. Police investigations are still ongoing.

Shefali rose to fame with her breakout music video Kaanta Laga and became a household name after her appearance in Bigg Boss 13.
