Karisma Kapoor attended a prayer meet in Delhi on Sunday, held in memory of her ex-husband Sunjay Kapur. She was joined by her children, Samaira and Kiaan. Sunjay, a well-known industrialist, died on June 12 in London after suffering a cardiac arrest during a polo match. He was 53.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan were also present at the ceremony. A video from the venue showed a concierge leading the Kapoor family into the hall, where guests gathered to pay their respects. A large framed photo of Sunjay surrounded by white flowers was placed at the centre, as family and friends offered tribute.

Sunjay Kapur Prayer Meet: Karisma Kapoor And Kids Attend

Karisma was earlier spotted at Mumbai airport with her children. The family later travelled to Delhi for the prayer ceremony at the Taj Palace Hotel. In her arrival video, Karisma looks lost in thoughts. Videos and photos from the event showed a quiet, respectful setting with many familiar faces in attendance.

Kareena and Saif, dressed simply for the occasion, were seen speaking to Sunjay’s family. A clip from the event showed them consoling relatives, which was shared widely online. Many fans appreciated the gesture and praised the couple for their dignified presence.

Sunjay Kapur’s Death And Family Statement

Sunjay Kapur passed away unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest while playing polo in London. His body was flown back to India and cremated on Thursday at Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in Delhi. The prayer meet followed on Sunday.

His family released a statement confirming the details of the ceremony. It was signed by his mother Rani Surinder Kapur, wife Priya Sachdev, and their children Safira and Azarias. Karisma’s children with Sunjay were also mentioned in the message.

Sunjay Kapur and Karisma Kapoor married in 2003 and had two children together. They separated in 2016 after a long legal battle. Sunjay later married Priya Sachdev in 2017. He was previously married to designer Nandita Mahtani.
