A viral clip shared by Times Now on Instagram has left viewers shocked. Filmed at Lonavala’s Bushi Dam, it captures tourists enjoying the monsoon scenery, with one man bathing in the dam’s water.
As the camera pans, it reveals another man casually urinating in the same stream, just meters away. The blatant act, done in front of numerous visitors, has drawn widespread criticism for its complete disregard for hygiene and civic sense.
Video Sparks Public Outrage Over Civic Sense
Netizens, who have watched this oddly shameful video, have openly shared their disgust. People are showing their outrage by saying, “Some people just cannot have nice things n need law to manage them. Please set up law to protect the nature from selfish human“.
They are demanding a separate subject on civic sense to be taught in schools to minimise these disgusting acts. One user thus says, “India needs a Subject called civic sense in classrooms“. Netizens are considering that due to such unthoughtful acts of some Indians, the entire creed gets ashamed in front of the world.
Thus, they say, “Our name really bad in front of the world coz of those kind of people only. Shameless and etiquette less person“. People can’t help but self-reflect on this by saying, “Indians are mess around the world. Ghar hi kharaab rakhte hai to kya hi sudhrenge ye log” and “Isi liye toh Indians ko log gaali dete hain..aur koi India aana nahi chahta.”
Viral Video Shows The Need For Cleanliness and Civic Education
This Maharashtra video clearly shows a severe lack of cleanliness in that dam. The place, though, is a tourist destination, clearly lacks proper cleaning. Also, the shameful act of the man shows how tourists make the tourist destinations dirty.
To mitigate this issue, early education on civic sense becomes crucial. Besides awareness campaigns, social media campaigns need to be done more precisely to stop people from doing such thoughtless, shameful acts.
