A viral video shows schoolgirls engaged in a heated physical altercation, exchanging punches, kicks, and pulling each other’s hair in the middle of the road. According to reports, the dispute between the schoolgirls had been building up over time. It is believed that the conflict began when both students found out they were involved with the same boy. Tensions simmered within the school for several days before finally boiling over into a full-blown physical altercation. Several students suffered minor injuries before bystanders stepped in to separate them.
The viral video has triggered mixed reactions online. While some netizens criticised the students for fighting over a personal matter, others blamed the influence of social media on today’s youth. One user commented, "Instead of focusing on their studies, students are getting involved in reels and fights. Teachers need to guide them properly." Another user sarcastically remarked, "This is the ‘Babu-Shona’ generation. Their world revolves around Instagram and Snapchat instead of thinking about their future."
Meanwhile, another person reacted to the viral video, writing, "Forget about education, this is what students are doing these days." Some users also linked the incident to societal changes, with one saying, "This is an example of modern-day women empowerment. Such incidents are becoming more frequent."
As the Purnia viral video continues to circulate, no official statement has been made by school authorities or local officials regarding the incident. However, the video has sparked discussions on student discipline, social media influence and the priorities of the younger generation.
