Despite claiming she had a ticket, the woman refused to show it, instead escalating the situation by threatening the railway officer in front of a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel. Her comment, “Go ask the Prime Minister about me,” added to the shock factor of the viral video.
Following the dramatic exchange, the Indian Railways TTE, along with RPF personnel, reportedly took swift action. According to media reports, the burqa-clad woman was handed over to the police after the incident. While official statements are yet to be released, the event has reignited debates on passenger behaviour and the safety of Indian Railways staff.
The viral video has already crossed 132,000 views on X, with users expressing anger and disappointment over the woman’s behaviour inside the train. Many are urging Indian Railways authorities to take strict legal action.
One user wrote, "We urge the railways to take strict action by filing an FIR via @RPF_INDIA and teach people that tickets must be bought before boarding the train—it’s not free!"
Another comment questioned the woman’s refusal to show the ticket and said, "If the woman had a ticket, she would have shown it. TTEs check everyone’s ticket, whether man or woman. Why get angry over that?"
A third user added, "People seem to be suffering more mental issues post-COVID. This woman clearly needs help."
And yet another user highlighted regional bias, referring to the ongoing Marathi language debate in Maharashtra, by saying, 'No one is outraged for not speaking Marathi this time."
