In a viral video, a train ticket examiner (TTE) is seen advising passengers to report technical faults in railway coaches directly to the Minister of Railways. A common man addresses the technical faults in the AC, and the TT shows his utter helplessness!

This again raises the concern of carelessness that may often result in simple faults to severe crashes. Amidst the Ahmedabad plane crash tragedy, this video is getting viral, revealing the poor management system of public transport.

Viral Video: TT Says He Cannot Complain to the Rail Board

A passenger captures and shares his raw interaction with the TT as the AC on their coach is not working. The video shows the ineptitude of the railway workers. The page Khurpenchh posted this on X is going viral widely amidst the Ahmedabad plane crash scenario.

The TT mentioned that he is calling technicians. Then the passenger asks a valid question of why they are operating this train when there are known faults. He raises the point that maybe the Ahmedabad plane tragedy occurred because of technical failures like this.

Responding to this, the TT says to complain directly to the Honourable Railway Minister. He says he cannot complain to the authorities; his job is to check things and report. Only passengers can raise a question.

What Should Paggeners Do to Ensure Safety

The passengers can complain about technical or safety concerns directly to the railway authorities. You can use the Rail Madad app to raise your query or concern. Additionally, there is the official Indian Railways website and a 24/7 helpline number, 139, where you can call. You can also share your views and raise a concern, tagging @RainMinIndia on X.

Is Recklessness the Reason for the Ever-Reoccurring Collisions?

The recent events indicate that recklessness and systemic issues may be contributing factors to the continuing train accidents. For example, in the Tamil Nadu train accident of 2024, the Bagmati Express collided with a stationary goods train, injuring at least 19 people. A similar occurrence took place in West Bengal on June 17 last year, involving the Kanchanjunga Express and a goods train.

These show that proper maintenance and communication gaps are causing these repeated issues in railways. The recent Air India plane crash teaches us that both the railway and aviation sectors need to take this seriously and that there can be no more carelessness when it comes to passengers.
