Indian Railways often makes headlines, whether it's for the introduction of high-tech Vande Bharat trains or incidents like brawls in sleeper class. However, a recent viral video has once again brought the spotlight to the railway system, this time for a shocking altercation involving a Railway TTE (Traveling Ticket Examiner). The video shows the TTE threatening a passenger who was recording him over an alleged bribery issue. Within hours of being uploaded, the video has already garnered over 209,000 views, sparking widespread debate. Let's take a closer look at the details of this viral railway incident.
The viral video was uploaded today, 1st February 2025, with a caption reading, "Kalesh inside Indian Railways between TTE and Passenger over TTE getting caught giving seats to passengers by taking money."

In the viral video, a TTE can be seen sitting in a train, seemingly checking tickets. However, the situation escalates when the TTE notices a boy recording him without consent. The TTE immediately reacts, saying that it is illegal to record a railway employee on duty, threatening the boy with seven years in jail and a ₹7000 fine. The boy, puzzled, asks where this rule is written, to which the TTE responds, "Come, I'll show you." This incident, captured on video, quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention across social media.
As soon as the video went viral, the comment section exploded with reactions. One user questioned, “Is it true? The fine he's speaking of in relation to filming?” Another person responded sarcastically, “The money had to be taken from passengers and returned because of making the video, and this TTE is telling that the law says making a video on duty is a crime and is also telling the punishment for the same. The Railway Ministry should make such a TTE the Secretary of the Railway Department.”
Others had more humorous takes, with one comment stating, “This TTE could even threaten the CBI with filing a case of obstruction in government work if they raided him!”
It is not clear whether the TTE was taking a bribe or allocating seats in exchange for money, but the viral video has certainly struck a chord with viewers, particularly due to the TTE’s claim that recording a railway employee on duty could lead to 7 years of jail and a ₹7000 fine.
