With the rise of ride-hailing services like Ola, Uber, and Rapido, commuting has become easier than ever. In just a few taps, a bike or a car arrives at your doorstep, ensuring hassle-free travel. However, a viral video is now making waves online, where a girl shares her concerns regarding these services and makes a special request to companies. Her appeal has sparked debate among netizens.
The viral video was uploaded on X by a user named "Kattappa," with a caption that reads, "Rapido wale ye maang toh jaayaz hai." In the 31-second clip, the girl expresses her frustration over societal judgment and urges Rapido and other bike taxi services to provide branded T-shirts for their riders.

She says, "I have a humble request to Rapido and other brands that provide bike services. Please give your riders branded T-shirts. I travel to the office daily using Rapido, sometimes needing three to four rides a day. Yesterday, I found out that people in my society are gossiping about me, saying that I roam around with different boys. One boy picks me up, and another drops me off."
Further addressing the issue, she highlights how society’s perception affects women, adding, "The respect of our sisters and daughters is being ruined. People are talking behind our backs. Please provide branded T-shirts to your riders."
The viral video has garnered over 545,000 views, sparking a heated debate online. Several users took to the comments section to share their opinions.
One user sarcastically wrote, "If you need four rides a day, buy your own scooty. Finance options are available in every showroom. The day Rapido riders are forced to wear branded T-shirts, half of them will quit." Another commented, "Then don’t use bike taxis. Take public transport or get a female Rapido driver because equality should be there."
A third user added, "Why do girls even need to travel on Rapido? If you can’t afford a cab, take an auto." A fourth, an NRI visiting India, wrote, "When I saw beautiful girls with bike riders who didn’t match them, I was shocked. LOL, later I realized it was Rapido service. Yes, it is deceiving at first sight."
While some netizens supported the girl's request, others found her concerns unnecessary. The debate continues as the viral video spreads across social media.
