A video is going viral on the social media handle X, in which a gun is seen coming out from inside a vehicle on the highway under Vijayanagar police station. This video has been shot from behind by a driver of the car, in which it can be clearly seen that one of the persons sitting inside the Tata Punch has waved a gun from the window of the car on the highway itself.

This video is enough to shock anyone’s heart because waving a gun in the open raises big questions about law and order. People watching the video have also requested the Uttar Pradesh Police to arrest the miscreants soon. However, there is no news of any action under this matter.

What happens in the commissionerate system?

Following the establishment of the Police Commissionerate system, the Police Commissioner received many of the DM’s authority. This allows for the commissioner level of policeman transfers. The Police Commissioner has the authority to issue fire or lathi charge orders. Under the CrPC, the DM is endowed with numerous law and order-related powers in the districts where this system is not in place. Instead of the DM, the Police Commissioner will have direct control over all of these authorities under the Police Commissionerate system.
