The boy, who was later identified as Pradeep, reportedly accompanied his father to work who works as a security guard at a nearby site. It can be seen, in the video, that the boy was en route to somewhere when a group of stray dogs started encircling him. The boy tried to run away but was pushed to the ground by a dog. Soon enough, a dog pulled him through his legs and all the other dogs started biting him. When the youngster tries to escape, they begin yanking at his clothes. The dogs attacked and dragged him down each time he tried to stand up.
They soon had full control of him and begin to bite him all over. While the huge dogs continued attacking the boy and took him into a corner, three smaller dogs can be seen watching. Police officials have notified that no complaint has been filed by the family of the boy. The tragic incident has once again put the limelight on the dangers posed by stray dogs, especially to children.

This incident has once again started the discussion on whether stray animals or even the domestic ones should be permitted inside the residential areas or not. There has been widespread criticism on animal attacks resulting in deaths of innocent.
The issue has also been brought up in court, with the Bombay High Court stating that a framework was required for the neutering, feeding, grooming, and immunisation of stray dogs.
