A shocking incident from Punjab has gone viral online just days after the sudden death of Kaanta Laga star Shefali Jariwala. A local cricket match in Guru Har Sahai, Firozpur, took a tragic turn when a man collapsed on the field moments after smashing a six. The man, identified as Harjit Singh, died on the spot.
The match was being played at DAV School ground and was being recorded on a mobile phone. The clip shows Harjit, wearing a black-and-white T-shirt, hitting a six and then resting briefly. Seconds later, he collapsed. Witnesses say he complained of chest pain right before falling to the ground.
Fellow players rushed to help and even tried CPR, but it was too late. By the time medical help arrived, Harjit had already passed away. He was a carpenter by profession. Early reports say it was a case of sudden cardiac arrest.
The video has triggered a serious concern online. People are talking about the lack of medical preparedness at such events. So far, there has been no official statement from the local authorities.
The viral video has also raised serious questions about how local sports events are handled. Despite many players and spectators around, there was no proper medical team or ambulance on site. CPR was attempted by fellow players, but the lack of professional help made the situation worse.

This incident follows the tragic death of Shefali Jariwala, who reportedly also suffered a cardiac arrest at her home. She was just 42. These back-to-back tragedies have raised questions about rising heart-related deaths in seemingly healthy individuals.
Shockingly, another similar case came from Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir just a few days ago. A wrestler named Sonu died during a bout at the annual Dangal competition in Dinga Amb. He suddenly fell unconscious in the middle of the match. People watching assumed it was part of the act until they realised he wasn’t moving.
Eyewitnesses were stunned. One of them said, “No one could believe that someone could die like this.” The cause of death has not been confirmed yet, but it adds to the growing list of young, active people collapsing unexpectedly during sports.
