A news anchoring video from Pakistan is going viral for a bizarre mix of economic claims and theatrical delivery that has left the internet in splits. The anchor’s dramatic tone, quirky accent, and confident trillion-dollar GDP statement have turned her regular news report into an instant meme on social media.
In the viral clip, the anchor says Pakistan’s economy has reached $411 billion, making it the 40th largest in the world. But what grabbed everyone's attention was her follow-up claim. She says the unorganised sector contributes more to the economy than the organised one. She adds, “If that is also added, then Pakistan’s economy will cross one trillion dollars.”
Her pitch gets even more dramatic when she urges citizens to pay taxes for the country's growth. However, viewers couldn’t focus on the message. The way she spoke it with exaggerated pauses, an unusual accent, and unexpected emotion left people confused and laughing.
One, what she is saying.

Social media users flooded Instagram and X (Twitter) with reactions. One asked, “Is she drunk?” Another wrote, “Seems like she's speaking with her boyfriends?” Other comments compared her to a parody artist. Some even wondered if the video was part of a comedy skit.
One user joked, “She thinks, if you talk informally, the GDP will be one trillion.” Another commented, “With the way she’s talking, Pakistanis might pay tax... not to the government, but to her!””
Check out some of the reactions below!

Well, this isn’t the first time Pakistani media has gone viral for all the wrong or entertaining reasons. With the recent Operation Sindoor and increased tensions in the region, Pakistan’s news coverage has often made headlines more for drama than information.
