A Zakir Hussain viral video has taken social media by storm, exposing a shocking act by the DMK leader in Tamil Nadu. The video shows DMK councillor Zakir Hussain at an event where leaders were taking a pledge against the Hindi language. Several DMK leaders, including women, were also present. During the pledge, Zakir Hussain is seen trying to remove bangles from a woman leader’s hand. This act was caught on camera and is now widely circulated. BJP leaders have slammed Zakir Hussain for his behavior, with Tamil Nadu BJP President even calling him a "bangle thief."
This Zakir Hussain viral video was uploaded on X by Amit Malviya, BJP IT cell head. The caption of the video reads, “DMK leaders gathered to take a pledge against Hindi, but M.K. Stalin’s Councillor Zakir Hussain (standing next to two women) had other things on his mind. For the DMK, raising the bogey of Hindi imposition is merely a fig leaf to perpetuate its divisive politics. The NEP encourages all Indian languages, not just Hindi, but the DMK’s opposition is driven by political opportunism.”

The Zakir Hussain viral video shows him repeatedly touching the woman leader’s hand and attempting to take off her bangles. Another woman standing nearby is seen slapping his hand and stopping him. Despite this, Zakir Hussain continues his actions multiple times.
The incident has triggered massive outrage on social media. Users are questioning whether the event was truly about opposing Hindi or just a display of political power. Taking to the comment section, one user asked, “Was he trying to flick her gold bangles?” Another said, “Sorry state of Tamil Nadu.”
So far, DMK leaders have not issued any official statement regarding the Zakir Hussain viral video. The controversy continues to grow as the video spreads across social media platforms, raising questions about DMK’s internal discipline and the conduct of its leaders.
