Quran burning: Days after the burning of Muslim’s holy book Quran took place in Sweden, Kuwait MPs have called for boycott of all countries that do not respect the sanctities of Muslims. On Tuesday, the MPs released a statement where they condemned the burning of Holy Quran by an extremist group in surveillance of the Swedish Government outside Turkish embassy. The MPs’ said, “these practices provoke the feelings of Muslims around the world, expressing their condemnation of the position of the Swedish government, which granted permission to burn the Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.”
Kuwait MPs condemn burning of Quran
As many as 51 MPs from Kuwait have called for the boycott of countries that do no respect the sanctities of Muslims. Their statement comes days after the burning of holy Quran took place in Sweden at Turkish embassy.
They emphasized that these practices “do not undermine the sanctity of the Quran in the heart of every civilized person.” They also appealed all parliamentarians in the world to boycott the Swedish government.
Earlier, all Arab countries had issued statements of condemnation and denunciation, and considered the incident “a serious provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world.”Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said it “would inflame the feelings of Muslims around the world, and constitute a dangerous provocation for them.”

A Quran-burning incident in Sweden invited protests across the Middle East. A far-right Swedish-Danish politician burnt Islam’s holy book in front of Turkey’s embassy in Stockholm. Muslims across the globe then set fire to Swedish flags in retaliation.
