Ghazni is just 130 km away from Kabul. The Taliban now control ten of the country’s 34 provinces. The fight over the occupation of many other cities has intensified.

Ghazni MP Muhammad Arif Rahmani told that the city has come under the control of terrorists. While Ghazni’s provincial council member Amanullah Kamrani also confirmed this, saying Afghan forces still control two military bases outside the city. He alleged that the governor and police chief of Ghazni province had surrendered and fled after dealing with the Taliban. It is clear from the video and photos released by the Taliban that the terrorists did not stop the governor’s convoy as part of the deal. Here, fighting is going on between the Afghan forces and the Taliban in Helmand’s capital Lashkar Gah. Afghan security forces have surrounded the city from all sides. 45 Taliban terrorists have been killed here. According to news agency Reuters, fighting has intensified in Kandahar city as well. The Taliban claimed that they had captured the provincial prison in Kandahar.

The capture of Ghazni city by terrorists is a major setback for the strategic Afghan forces. Because this city is located on the Kabul-Kandahar Highway. This road connects Kabul with the southern provinces of the country. Due to the capture of terrorists on this important route, the movement of government forces as well as the supply of logistics and military equipment can be disrupted.

According to ANI, with increasing dominance in Afghanistan, the brutality of the Taliban has also increased. There are reports of 33 people killed in Kandahar province. Civil society people, journalists and human rights activists are said to be among those killed.

According to ANI, the Taliban have captured the capitals of many provinces. This terrorist organization has released about one thousand criminals lodged in the jails of six such cities. There are many dreaded terrorists among the released criminals. These cities were previously under the control of the Afghan government.
