Bill Gates: Melinda French Gates recently spoke her heart out about her divorce after more than a year saying that it was incredibly difficult.
Melinda, 58, stated in an interview with Fortune Magazine that she “simply couldn’t stay in that marriage anymore” due to a number of factors.

“In countless respects, it’s excruciatingly terrible, but I had the privacy to get through it,” Melinda

Jennifer, Rory, and Phoebe are three of the former couple’s children. They got married in 1994.
After nearly 30 years of marriage, Melinda French Gates and Bill Gates announced their divorce in May 2021. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will continue to be managed jointly by the pair after the divorce was officially finalised in August 2021.

She went on to say in the interview that she continued working with the person she was drifting away from and that she needed to show up and be the best version of herself every single day. Therefore, she continued, “I have to show up and be at my best, even though I might be crying at 9 am and then have to be on a video conference at 10 am with the person I’m leaving.”
Melinda says trying to safeguard her children through the situation was her top priority
After their divorce, she admitted to Fortune that she would cry some mornings before their virtual meetings with their coworkers. However, she also said that the foundation inspires her to do her best.
French Gates told Fortune that trying to safeguard her children through the situation was her top priority. And we arrived to the opposite side.
