Donald Trump: Strait Of Hormuz Strangled! US President’s Desperate Modi Reachout, Will India Stay Neutral In Middle East Crisis?

Donald Trump: United States President Donald Trump has called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss bilateral cooperation, including the West Asia crisis. This is the second phone call between the two leaders since the West Asian conflict started.

On X, Modi wrote that he received a call from Trump to review the substantial progress achieved in bilateral cooperation in various sectors. Modi also commented that both India and the United States are fully committed to strengthen Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all area.

US ambassador to India Sergio Gor remarked that both leaders participated in a phone conversation that lasted for approximately 40 minutes. Gor went on to add that both India and the United States are likely to sign some big-ticket deals in the next few days and weeks.

The US Ambassador to India also commented that Washington would be happy to see the involvement of New Delhi when asked if the United States wants India to play an important role in the peace deal between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States.

Strait Of Hormuz Blockade

Dr Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, Representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, commented that the Strait of Hormuz was open for the world before the February 28 attacks. Ilahi added that the Islamic Republic of Iran doesn’t want anyone to suffer because of the Hormuz blockade but the joint forces of USA and Israel have forced this unfortunate situation on everyone.

On March 24, Modi and Trump had a phone call this year where PM Modi supported Trump for de-escalation and peace restoration in the Middle East at the earliest. The two leaders yesterday discussed that the strategic Strait of Hormuz should stay secure, open and accessible to the entire world and peace stays prevalent in the region.
