Three women, including a friend of Italian Prime Minster Georgia Meloni, were killed on Sunday, when a gunmen opened fire at a meeting of residents of an apartment block in Rome. In that incident, four people were wounded and atleast one of them was seriously injured.

Italy’s far right premier Giorgia Meloni revealed in a Facebook post that one of the victims was a friend.
An emotional Italian PM, Georgiana Meloni, posted a picture of herself alongside Nicoletta Golisano , one of the victims , on Instagram on Sunday evening and wrote that she was always beautiful and happy like this.
Nicoletta Golisano, a 50-year-old accountant and mother of a 10-year-old son, was in attendance as a treasurer.

The suspect was overpowered by the residents after the incident
Meanwhile the police have arrested a 57 year old suspect named Claudia Campi who had been in a series of disputes with the resident’s welfare association. He had been overpowered by the residents after the meeting held at a bar in the Fidene district of the city.
He had barged into the room, closed the door and had shouted that I will kill you all, and then started to shoot. A visibly upset, Meloni said that shooting range from which suspect had taken the gun used in the attack had been closed and placed under investigation by the authorities.
The mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualterati has called an emergency security meeting and he termed the incident as “the grave episode of violence that has stuck the city”
