India grabs 87th spot in the list of strongest passports in the world. Know which nation is on top

Strongest passports in the world 2022: India has captured 87th spot in the list of the strongest passports in the world while UAE grabbed the first spot in the list. The Arton Capital publication Passport Index 2022 lists the world’s strongest and weakest passports. The number of nations you can access without a visa is indicated by the passport rankings.
A passport is a travel document that confirms the identity and nationality of the holder for the purpose of international travel. Passports are issued by governments to their citizens.

Travelers can enter 180 nations without hassle with a UAE passport, which is nine more than Japan and seven more than European nations like Germany and Sweden.

Mechanism of Ranking countries

Six territories were taken into consideration for the list as part of the Passport Index methodology, which is based on the 139 members of the United Nations. The material is based on official information provided by governments, updated in real-time using crowdsourced intelligence, and strengthened with exclusive research from incredibly reliable sources.
A three-tier system is used to rank each passport according to its mobility score (MS), which compares visa-free (VF), visa on arrival (VOA), electronic travel authorization (eTA), and electronic visa (if issued within three days) options. The United Nations Development Program’s 2018 Human Development Index (UNDP HDI) is also used to break ties. The UNDP HDI is a crucial indicator of how the nation is seen internationally.

After UAE, European nations dominated the list’s top ten positions.

While UAE topped the list, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Spain, and France were next. Pakistan was 94th, while Afghanistan was last.
Japan is easily accessible from 171 countries and is placed 24 on Arton’s ranking. This year’s report by Henley & Partners placed the nation’s travel document as the finest in the world.
