‘Massive fraud’: Donald Trump demands for the US Constitution to be repealed

US: Former US President Donald Trump, who just launched his candidacy for the 2024 election, called for the Constitution to be repealed in a social media post, calling the 2020 election “major fraud.”

This comes only weeks after Democrats reclaimed control of the Senate after a slew of Republican candidates endorsed by Trump were defeated in both Senate and House races, generating even more election denial.
Donald Trump’s post also follows the leak of internal Twitter emails revealing 2020 discussion about a New York Post story regarding evidence discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Trump stated on the social network Truth Social, “A massive fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.”  The Republican also charged that “Big Tech” was collaborating with Democrats.

Trump said in reference to Joe Biden’s election win, “Our great ‘founders’ did not want, and would not condone, false and fraudulent elections!”

Trump’s statement was slammed by the White House, which stated that “attacking the Constitution and all it stands for is anathema to the soul of our nation and should be universally denounced.”

Trump’s allegations towards Biden’s electoral win

Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden by more than seven million votes and 306-232 in the electoral college, but he continues to allege that Biden won crucial states through electoral fraud, a charge that inspired the deadly attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Republican Liz Cheney of Wyoming, vice chair of the House select committee investigating the US Capitol attack, said that no honest person can now deny that Trump is an opponent of the Constitution.
