Big information has come out about the Quad Summit meeting to be held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida Fumio said that this time’s Quad conference meeting is likely to take place in the last week of May, after the general election in Australia. Officials said that formal invitations would be sent out by Japan only after the convenient dates are finalised. A meeting of the Quad foreign ministers and Sherpas is also likely to set the agenda for the summit. Leaders from America, Australia and India will participate in this meeting.

According to the report, this meeting is sure to ensure economic security and oppose the increasing hegemony of China. Apart from this, independent Indo-Pacific, Corona and climate change are expected to be discussed in this meeting. The last Quad summit was held in Washington on September 24, 2021.

The Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD) was initiated in the year 2007. However, it started in the year 2000-2005 when India extended a helping hand after the tsunami in many countries of Southeast Asia. The four countries in the Quad are the US, Japan, Australia and India. In March, there was also a meeting of the Quad regarding the corona virus. New Zealand, South Korea and Vietnam also participated in it for the first time.
