Russia-Ukraine War 35th Day Live Update: Russia has officially announced the reduction of troops from Kyiv and Chernihiv. Russia’s Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said that this decision has been taken to create an atmosphere of dialogue with Ukraine (Russia Ukraine Peace Talks). At the same time, Ukrainian officials have claimed that Russian troops have failed to achieve their goals, so they need to withdraw the army.
The war between Russia and Ukraine has completed 35 days. Russian troops are constantly bombarding Ukrainian cities, leaving many cities in ruins. On Tuesday, Russia launched a rocket attack on the building of the regional administrative headquarters in Mykolaiv. At least 12 people died in this attack. 33 other people are reported to be injured.
The Pentagon said that Russia is moving its troops away from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv as a strategic shift in its offensive into Ukraine and that no one should be fooled into believing that it is going to force all of its forces.
Amid the destruction of several Ukrainian cities by Russian forces, Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podoliak claimed that he had also killed some Russian generals and hundreds of soldiers in the war. “Seven Russian generals have been killed since the start of the war, which is estimated to cause major damage to the Russian army,” he said. However, Ukraine’s claims have not been confirmed. Russia has so far confirmed the deaths of only one General Yakov Rezantsev and a senior naval commander.
