During the hearing on Capitol Hill, the United States Defence Secretary claimed that critics of the US Iran war posed a bigger threat to the United States of America than Iran itself.

DON'T MISS
Jules Hurst III, The Chief Financial Officer for the Pentagon, told the Committee that the approximate cost of the Iran war stands presently at $25 billion. Hurst specified that a significant majority of the incurred costs were spent on maintenance and replacement of equipment as well as military operations.
According to several sources, Hegseth deliberately suggested low war costs. The actual war expenses could be in the range of $40-$50 billion as America needs to rebuild US military installations and replace destroyed assets. Iranian strikes across the Middle East have caused massive damage to at least 9 US military sites. Tehran has targeted US installations in Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
Hegseth Defends Iran War
Pete Hegseth defended the Trump administration to strike Tehran saying the Tehran war was an existential fight for American people’s safety and the Trump administration was proud of it.
In another development, US President Donald Trump continued his rhetoric by saying that the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz would continue for weeks, pushing oil prices to $122 a barrel.
