She spoke about her acting journey, the film industry and even her marriage. She also shared video responses on the platform, which made the session feel more personal and honest.
Divya Khossla On Toxicity In Bollywood
A fan asked her how she stays mentally strong in an industry full of pressure and judgement. The user wrote, “How do you maintain your mental health amidst all the toxicity in Bollywood, pressure to look a certain way always and many such stuff? You always seem very positive and childlike innocent to me.”
Divya replied, “I myself feel that Bollywood is a place where there are crocodiles all around and you feel like you are navigate your way through it.”
She added, “I think the most imp thing is to remain true to your own self. I will never sell my soul to get work. hota hai toh theek hai nahi hota toh bhi theek hai (If it works then good if it does not then also okay) and what’s more imp is when you reach up you should have good slate of karma to carry with you.”
Her Favourite Film To Work On
When asked about the film she enjoyed working on the most, Divya chose Savi. She said, “Has to be Savi. The most amazing shoot in UK in almost minus 10 degrees for 42 days non-stop. But the production was so well organised that it set a benchmark for me to compare Savi set experience with all my other movies.”
For those unaware of the controversy and comparisons between Savi and Alia Bhatt’s Jigra. She had earlier accused Jigra of copying the central jailbreak plot. Both films follow a woman attempting a risky prison escape to save someone she loves.
In Savi, Divya plays a housewife trying to free her husband from a high-security prison in the UK. In Jigra, Alia’s character tries to rescue her brother from a foreign jail. Divya also questioned Jigra’s box office numbers and hinted that they may have been inflated.
Addressing Rumours About Her Marriage
During the AMA, a user asked, “Are you divorced?” Divya replied with humour. “No. But the media really wants it.” She remains married to Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series. The couple married in 2005.
Divya was last seen in the thriller comedy Ek Chatur Naar with Neil Nitin Mukesh. She plays Mamta Mishra, a street-smart woman trying to support her son and mother-in-law. Her life changes when she steals a businessman’s phone and finds intimate videos and sensitive data, which leads her into an extortion plot.
