Tere Ishk Mein Box Office Collection Day 9: Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s emotional love-hate saga Tere Ishk Mein had a strong start at the box office. The film drew good crowds over the opening weekend and held steady during the weekdays with minor drops. Audiences appreciated the heartfelt story and the romance. But the release of Ranveer Singh’s action thriller Dhurandhar has taken the spotlight, making it hard for Tere Ishk Mein to maintain its momentum.
Tere Ishk Mein Box Office Collection Day 2
The film opened with Rs 16 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 17 crore on Saturday and Rs 19 crore on Sunday, making for a strong opening weekend. However, Monday saw a sharp fall to Rs 8.75 crore, a 53% drop.
The weekdays were mixed. Tuesday brought a small recovery at Rs 10.25 crore, but Wednesday and Thursday dropped again to Rs 6.85 crore and Rs 5.8 crore. The first week totalled Rs 83.65 crore, a decent figure but below expectations.
The second weekend has been slower. Friday of the second week earned Rs 3.75 crore, and early estimates for Saturday are around Rs 5.50 crore, bringing the total to Rs 92.90 crore. The film now needs roughly Rs 7.1 crore to cross Rs 100 crore in India net.
With the current pace and tough competition from Dhurandhar, it seems difficult for the film to reach Rs 100 crore over the second weekend. A Sunday collection of Rs 5-6 crore is more likely, which means the milestone may be reached only by Monday if the numbers hold.

About the Film
Directed by Aanand L Rai, Tere Ishk Mein was released on November 28, 2025. The story follows Shankar (Dhanush), a quirky and emotional lover, who meets Mukti (Kriti Sanon) in college. They fall in love, but Mukti moves on after breaking up. Heartbroken, Shankar joins the Indian Air Force and becomes a fighter pilot. Years later, they meet again and their unresolved feelings bring emotional drama and tension.
The film draws inspiration from Rai’s earlier hit Raanjhanaa, another love story set in Banaras. This marks Dhanush’s Hindi cinema comeback after Atrangi Re in 2021 and is his first theatrical Hindi release in 10 years. The music by AR Rahman has been widely praised, adding depth and emotion to the story, which has helped the film connect with audiences.
