Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 4: Riteish Deshmukh Starrer Drops To Single Digit On Monday, Still Earns 3X More Than Ved

Raja Shivaji drops on Monday but still dominates Riteish Deshmukh’s past hits like Ved, Mauli and Lai Bhaari. The film races ahead with a strong Rs 39.50 cr four-day total.

Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 4: Raja Shivaji continues its strong box office run even as it enters weekdays. The Riteish Deshmukh starrer has now slipped into a single-digit range on Monday, but its overall performance remains far ahead of his earlier releases when compared on similar timelines.

Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 4

As per trade reports, Raja Shivaji collected around Rs 5.60 cr on Day 4 (Monday). While this shows a clear drop after a powerful weekend, the film’s total four-day India net collection has reached approximately Rs 39.50 cr. The strong opening trend has already placed it among the fastest Marathi openers in recent times.

When compared to Ved, the difference is significant. According to Sacnilk data, Ved earned Rs 3.02 cr on Day 4, taking its four-day total to Rs 13.02 cr. In comparison, Raja Shivaji has already crossed that entire four-day total with ease, earning nearly three times more on its own Day 4.

Ved also had a relatively stronger hold compared to its opening day of Rs 2.25 cr. However, Raja Shivaji has clearly built a bigger opening base and wider audience pull in its initial run.

Looking back at Mauli (2018), the Riteish Deshmukh action film collected Rs 2.25 cr on Day 4 and ended its first four days at Rs 13.35 cr. While it had a solid start, it could not match the scale of Raja Shivaji.

Even earlier, Lai Bhaari (2014), Riteish’s breakthrough Marathi film, earned Rs 2.15 cr on Day 4 with a four-day total of Rs 12.70 cr. At the time, it set new records for the industry and became a benchmark success.

Interestingly, Lai Bhaari eventually collected Rs 35.88 cr lifetime. Raja Shivaji has already crossed that figure within just its first few days, highlighting how far Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi box office pull has grown over the years.

About The Film

Raja Shivaji is a historical drama directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh. The film portrays the early life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his rise as one of India’s greatest warrior kings.

The story begins with Shivaji’s childhood and his strong vision of Hindavi Swarajya, shaped by his mother Jijabai. It follows his journey as a young strategist who begins capturing key forts and building resistance against powerful adversaries. His early victories, including the capture of Torna Fort at a young age, form a key part of the narrative.

The film builds towards the historic Battle of Pratapgarh and Shivaji’s legendary confrontation with Afzal Khan. Along with war sequences, it highlights his intelligence, use of guerrilla warfare tactics, and deep concern for farmers and the common people. Despite the Monday dip, Raja Shivaji remains on a strong trajectory. The film’s opening weekend performance has given it a solid cushion, and its weekday hold will decide its long-term box office standing.
