Jawa 42 2.1: Jawa has released the Tawang Edition of its 42 2.1 roadster. It’s based on the Allstar Black edition, which was released in 2021, and features ‘Tawang Edition’ badging on the tank for an aesthetic look. Furthermore, just 100 of them will be made, and they will be available only to clients in Arunachal Pradesh and nearby territories.

Bike features a Lungta design

The limited-edition bike is inspired by Lungta, a mythical wind horse who represents good fortune and prosperity. The bike also has a Lungta design on the front fender and fuel tank. The fact that each of the 100 bikes would receive a unique numbered medallion would make purchasing this limited edition bike even more memorable.

Engine and braking

Other parts, on the other hand, have not changed. Its 293cc liquid-cooled engine continues to produce 27.33PS and 26.84Nm. The bike is supported by a telescopic fork and dual shocks, while braking is handled by a 280mm front disc and a 153mm rear drum (or a 240mm disc, which is optional).

Price and availability

Surprisingly, this special edition Jawa 42 2.1 costs Rs 20,000 more than the normal bike in Arunachal Pradesh. In comparison, the bike currently costs Rs 1,94,142. (ex-showroom Delhi). While that may appear to be a lot, the fact that it is specifically earmarked for Arunachal Pradesh and neighbouring regions may make it worthwhile for them. So, if any of you Arunachal Pradesh residents are reading this and find this bike appealing, we recommend you head to the nearest Jawa showroom as soon as possible and reserve one for yourself. The bike may also be reserved online for Rs 5,000, which is totally refundable.
