Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup with powerful Gen-II mHawk diesel engine, ADAS and Sunroof unveiled, all details here

Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup: Mahindra introduced its pickup idea, the Global Pik Up, which is based on the Scorpio N, at its annual Independence Day spectacle, which was held this year in South Africa. Mahindra currently refers to its pickup truck, which is based on the Scorpio Classic, as the Pik Up in several overseas markets. The concept will eventually lead to a real pickup (codenamed Z121), which Mahindra claims will be supported by a ‘next-generation ladder-frame’ that will perform well in both Global NCAP and Euro NCAP tests.

From Mahindra India Design Studio

The Pik Up was created at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS), and as a concept, it includes numerous eccentric aesthetic elements. Its resemblance to the Scorpio N is visible from the front, though, where the headlight, bonnet and front doors are all extremely similar. The bumper is brand-new and features a large bash-plate, tow hooks and an aggressively designed popped-out grille on top of the bash-plate. The design features a snorkel as well as a roof rack with a large LED light bar at the front for improved water mobility.

Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup: Engine

According to Mahindra, the new pickup will be powered by a Gen-II mHawk diesel engine made entirely of aluminium, which will be paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automated gearbox from Aisin. The Mahindra Global Pik Up will include 4WD and the ability to alter gears while driving. Additionally, four driving settings are available: Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut and Sand.

Here are the features

Mahindra claims that the Global Pik Up will be jam-packed with features and technology, as would be anticipated of a futuristic concept. It mentioned a few features as Level-2 ADAS capability, semi-automatic parking and 5G-based networking features. Additionally, this pickup will include a sunroof, which is a popular feature in India.
