New-Gen Hyundai Verna 2023: The new version of the Verna sedan will go on sale in India today thanks to Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL). This vehicle has been undergoing testing by the firm for more than a month, and camouflage has been seen on it multiple times. In the Indian market, the Hyundai Verna faces off against the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.

Last month, Hyundai began accepting reservations for the same vehicle online and through authorised Hyundai dealerships for a booking fee of Rs 25,000. Hyundai has previously detailed all of the upgrades the new Verna is expected to receive as it prepares to hit the Indian market in 2023. Hyundai has stated in the teasers that the 2023 Verna will have E20 compatibility to meet the forthcoming Stage 2 BS6 emission regulations.
Equipped with new design and styling
The new Verna will be seen in a completely new avatar that looks contemporary from all sides, taking cues from the official design sketches (teased in the past) and the spy photographs.
The automobile will have more angular body lines and use connected lighting at each end for a sportier appearance. The new Verna’s redesigned appearance will make it compatible with all of the current “new-age” Hyundai vehicles.
Engine and transmission
Hyundai will offer the Verna in four variations starting in 2023: EX, S, SX, and SX (O). The company will further treat the clients with a broad selection of 4 powertrain options, including the current 1.5 L MPi petrol engine and the 1.5 L GDi turbo petrol engine with 6MT or 7DCT.
Moreover, the manufacturer gave this vehicle ADAS features and the segment’s largest boot (528 litres).
New-Gen Hyundai Verna 2023: Expected price
In comparison to the upgraded Honda City, Hyundai is anticipated to offer competitive pricing for the 2023 Verna in the Indian market. The new Verna is probably going to cost between Rs. 11 and Rs. 18 lakh.
