Tata Altroz iCNG vs Altroz petrol: The first thing that springs to mind when you hear the term CNG is compromise—aside from the fact that it is inexpensive to operate. The CNG version of the Tata Altroz has been introduced by Tata Motors in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 7.55 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata’s Altroz CNG offers a unique mix of low running costs without skimping on premium features. The company also sells premium hatchbacks with petrol and diesel engines. Know about the engine

Two petrol engine choices are available for the Altroz: a 1.2-liter NA and a 1.2-liter turbo. The former produces a maximum of 85 horsepower and 115 Newton metres of torque, while the latter produces 107 horsepower and 140 Newton metres of torque.

A six-speed DCA unit is an additional option, along with a five-speed manual gearbox.The 1.2-liter normally aspirated petrol engine that powers the Tata Altroz CNG produces a maximum of 71 horsepower and a maximum torque of 103 Nm while operating on compressed natural gas. There is a five-speed manual gearbox available. In comparison to the Altroz CNG variant, the Tata Altroz turbo petrol variant produces higher power.

Tata Altroz iCNG vs Altroz petrol: Fuel efficiency

Tata Altroz NA petrol variant delivers a stated fuel efficiency of 19.3 km/l, while Altroz turbo petrol trim gives a claimed 18.5 km/l. Mileage for the CNG version of the Tata Altroz is unknown.

Petrol costs for Tata Altroz in India range from Rs 6.60 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. The price range for the CNG versions of the Tata Altroz is between Rs 7.55 lakh and Rs 10.55 lakh. Everything is priced ex-showroom. It contends with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20 in the Indian market.
