Tesla Model Y Sedan: EV giant Tesla recalls 3470 sedans due to bolt issue

Tesla Model Y Sedan: Due to the possibility that the bolts holding the second-row seatback frames in place in these electric vehicles may not have been properly tightened, US EV giant Tesla is recalling 3,470 Model Y sedans that were produced in the US between 2022 and 2023. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a US safety organisation, claims that a loose seat frame bolt could impair the performance of the seat belt system and raise injury risks in an accident.

Tesla Model Y Sedan: How company get to know this issue?

Five warranty claims that might be connected to these issues have been submitted to Tesla since December. The business claimed, though, that it was not aware of any accidents or fatalities that might have been caused by the recall problem.
Tesla will check and, if necessary, tighten the bolts holding the lower seat frames for the second row’s driver and passenger side seats.

Tesla decided to pause the roll-out of its FSD Beta software

Separately, it appears that Tesla has decided to postpone the distribution of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta software to new vehicle owners until the software’s bug is fixed. According to Teslarati, the action was taken as a result of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) identifying safety issues with the FSD Beta that Tesla must address. However, it also states that the US-based EV manufacturer is pausing the FSD Beta software rollout voluntarily rather than being required to do so by NHTSA.

The company is postponing all new updates

According to the report, Tesla is halting all future updates for the FSD Beta unless the problem can be properly resolved. The automaker reportedly stated that it has paused the rollout of FSD Beta to all who have opted-in but have not yet received a software version containing FSD Beta until the software version containing the fix is available.
