A permanent synchronous motor coupled with a 72.6kWH battery pack powers the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The powertrain produces 350 Nm of peak torque and 216 horsepower. With a 350kW DC charger, it can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes, giving it a 631 km range on a single charge. In contrast, the Volvo XC40 Recharge is powered by a 78kWh battery pack that can provide up to 402 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque. It is stated that this motor can travel 418 kilometres on a single charge. A 150kW DC fast charger can charge the battery pack from 10% to 80% in about 28 minutes.
