BSF detects underground tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir

An underground tunnel has been detected near the international border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir. DGP Dilbag Singh gave this information on Sunday. BSF Jammu IG SN Jamwal said, “It seems that the terrorists involved in Nagrota encounter used a tunnel of 30-40 meters long because it is a new tunnel.” We think the terrorists had a guide who led them to the highway. ‘ In fact, security forces suspected that four Jaish-e-Mohammed militants killed in Nagrota would have used the tunnel to penetrate the country from Pakistan. On Thursday, 4 Jaish terrorists were killed in an encounter in Jammu near Nagrota. The terrorists were carrying huge quantities of arms and ammunition in the truck. The police officer said 11 AK-47 rifles and pistols have also been recovered from the terrorists. There is every possibility that they were planning something big. Jammu and Kashmir Police DG Dilbag Singh had said that a group of 4 Jaish-e-Mohammed militants had infiltrated India from the international border at Samba on Wednesday night. The four were traveling in a truck headed to Kashmir. The truck was stopped by the police near the toll plaza after which the four were killed in an encounter.

Jammu IG Mukesh Kumar said, “We had special input about this movement of terrorists.” We came to know that these terrorists were planning to block the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) elections. Security was tightened on the highway after receiving the input and vehicles are being thoroughly investigated.
