On Thursday, 4 Jaish terrorists were killed in an encounter in Jammu near Nagrota. The terrorists were carrying huge quantities of arms and ammunition in the truck. The police officer said 11 AK-47 rifles and pistols have also been recovered from the terrorists. There is every possibility that they were planning something big. Jammu and Kashmir Police DG Dilbag Singh had said that a group of 4 Jaish-e-Mohammed militants had infiltrated India from the international border at Samba on Wednesday night. The four were traveling in a truck headed to Kashmir. The truck was stopped by the police near the toll plaza after which the four were killed in an encounter.
Jammu IG Mukesh Kumar said, “We had special input about this movement of terrorists.” We came to know that these terrorists were planning to block the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) elections. Security was tightened on the highway after receiving the input and vehicles are being thoroughly investigated.
