Dehradun-Mussoorie: India's Longest Ropeway to Cover 5.2 Km in Just 20 Minutes, Check When it Starts?

Dehradun-Mussoorie: The 5.2-kilometre monocable detachable gondola system will connect Dehradun to Mussoorie. With this new initiative, the distance between the two places will be covered in 20 minutes only. This distance of 33 kilometer takes around 2 hours by road.

•    Mussoorie Sky Car Private Limited is launching an attractive ropeway line which is going to be India's longest passenger ropeway. 
•    The project is expected to cost around 300 crore 
•    The 5.2-kilometre monocable detachable gondola system will rise 1,000 meters.
•    The distance between Dehradun and Mussorie will be covered in just 20 minutes. Normally it takes around 2 hours by road as distance is 33 km. 
•    The ropeway is a joint venture between FIL Industries, SRM Engineering, and POMA SAS from France.  
•    Certified under European safety standards (CEN), the ropeway system will go through frequent inspections and security checks to ensure reliability.
•    It is expected to start by September 2026.
