Mahindra XUV400: Mahindra has just released its first electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) in India. The Mahindra XUV400 starts at Rs. 15,99,900 (ex-showroom) and is said to be able to go 456 kilometres on a single charge. Customers have now started getting their Mahindra XUV400 EVs, and the company delivered 400 of them on the first day, which was Gudi Padwa.
In India, the top-of-the-line EL version of the Mahindra XUV400 is now being shipped out. Its most basic model, the EC, will be on sale by Diwali this year. In the initial phase, the new electric SUV XUV400 is sold in 34 Indian cities. Mahindra has already taken more than 10,000 orders for the XUV400, and people will have to wait up to seven months for it.
Battery, range, and performance of the Mahindra XUV400
The EL version of the Mahindra XUV400 has a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and is said to be able to go 456 kilometres on a single charge. Its most basic model, the EC, has a 34.5 kWh battery pack and can go 375 miles on a single charge. The sole electric engine in the new Mahindra XUV400 makes 148 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. It can go as fast as 150 kmph.
Mahindra has three versions of the XUV400, and their costs range from Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh. These are introductory prices that will only be good for the first 5,000 people who buy. This electric SUV will compete with cars like the Tata Nexon EV Prme, Nexon EV Max, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona.
