Know About First Woman Combat Aviator Abhilasha Barak

26-year-old Abhilasha Barak from Haryana has become the first woman combat pilot of the Indian Army on Wednesday. Her father was also in the Indian Army, so taking inspiration from him she chose to join the Indian Defence.

Captain Abhilasha Barak has achieved this feat after successfully completing the Combat Army Aviation Course. Abhilasha told that since childhood, seeing parades and people wearing uniforms living in the army area, so it was always quite normal for me.
When we left the army area in 2011 after my father’s retirement, I felt very different. After watching my elder brother’s passing out parade at the Indian Military Academy in 2013, the feeling that I had to spend the rest of my life in the Indian Army was strengthened.

Captain Barack is an alumnus of The Lawrence School, Sanawar. She completed her graduation in B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Delhi Technological University in 2016 and after that he got a job in Deloitte, USA.

In 2018, she was inducted into the Indian Army from the Officers Training Academy, Chennai. She secured ‘A’ grading in Army Air Defense Young Officers Course, 75.70 per cent in Air Traffic Management and Air Laws Course and passed Promotional Examination, Part B in her first attempt.
