Lakhimpur Government School: Head teacher suspended for manhandling women

LAKHIMPUR KHERI: A head teacher at a government school in Lakhimpur block school got suspended immediately on Friday for manhandling a woman Shiksha Mitra, said officials.

Laxmi Kant Pandey, Lakhimpur Kheri’s basic education officer spoke to the news agency PTI “Headteacher Ajeet Kumar has been suspended after he was reported to have manhandled a woman Shiksha Mitra (a para teacher) of his school, maligning the image of his post and the department and violating the code of conduct for school teachers.” The incident in light after a video of the head teacher went viral on social media in which he could be seen thrashing the woman.

Subash Chandra, Officer, Lakhimpur Block education sent a report on this issue to Kheri’s basic education officer Laxmi Kant Pandey. Laxmi Kant Pandey said that till the investigation the head teacher has been sent to Pasgawan junior high school, adding to it Pandey also said that Pasgawan BEO has also been instructed to submit the attendance report of the suspended head teacher on a daily basis to his office. A three-member team has also been formed to probe the matter and submit their report as soon as possible.
